Had the fun pleasure of putting together the LoveItEvv! Summer Liberation issue launch party, hosted at the oh-so-hipster office of BlackStrap Media located in the reviving Jacobsville neighborhood.
Kana Brown, editor of LoveItEvv! gave me two words: Hipster Rebel. While we definitely went hipster style, it developed into a Rebel Princess vibe complete with glitter tattoos and splashes of blood pink. Guests dug into a gourmet nacho bar and had cocktails courtesy of the always-delicious Sauced.
Kana’s magazines always develop into a collection of moving, empowering messages aimed at Evansville women and men with conscience and passion for our city and the part they play in it.
This edition’s central focus was on Liberation. As usual, the issue did not disappoint with articles from several different locals and their stories of personal liberation. Get your digital issue and read it for yourself at LoveitEvv.com.
To match that theme, we put together a warrior vibe complete with arrows, modern art and motivational messages from the powerful poem “Liberation: Finally” by Charnika Baltzell.
It was a great night with a collection of creative, passionate people.
