JoElle Elise Design began in 2011 as a creative outlet for designing parties and weddings for friends and families. As my design experience grew, I received more and more interest from people outside my immediate circle. One day, as I was sitting in my cubicle at my depressing day job, it hit me. I could make a career out of my passion hobby!

This ground-breaking thought caught my imagination on fire and I couldn’t think of anything else. I took everything I knew about networking, marketing and yes – designing and got to work crafting a business plan and setting goals for making this dream a reality. It took a couple years of side hustling and booking events on the weekends for me to earn enough that I felt I could take the leap and quit my day job.

Since that day, I have been Free to create beauty and experiences for clients and have grown my business from simply designing weddings to the creation of ENGAGED! River Valley and HOME River Valley bridal and lifestyle magazines, producing community events, creating non-profit experiences, designing for homes and businesses, and most recently, diving into the world of real estate. In that time, I have become a mother to three beautiful kids and created a life with my husband I never could have dreamt of as a child.

For the past several years, I have felt a deep calling to share with others how they too can go after their passions, build a business and smash their life goals – especially when they might feel alone in their wants and desires. Everyone needs a champion in their corner. I hope my experiences and encouragement will inspire you to be brave and dream big.

JoElle Knight is the designer behind the blog JoElle Elise Design. With a bachelor’s degree in Advertising & Public Relations and an obsession with anything and everything design, JoElle’s skills have been put to use producing experiences and creating beauty for clients both in their lives and businesses. Her work has been featured in national publications such as Mingle Magazine, Romantic Homes Magazine, Wedding Day Magazine, Hostess with the Mostess, and Catch My Party. Her newest career adventure has added Real Estate to her repertoire, where she finds dream properties for projects and clients. These days this mama, blogger and designer is focused on making JoElle Elise Design into something so much more. Starting a new journey building a dream barndominium on land, lovingly named Revival Farms, JoElle has big dreams of creating a space for events and workshops to celebrate momentous occasions and inspire women to live the life of their dreams.
