You’re Invited to A Wedding Party

Join us this weekend for the most exclusive wedding show of the year. We are honored to be a part of this fantastic event – the brain child of Andrea Whitehead, owner of House of White. She’s one fab lady and every time I’m with her I feel the need to step up my fashion game. I mean, who else would dare to pull off a mustard trench coat, leather pants, men’s fashion inspired healed dress shoes and a huge chunky gold watch – all  at a 8:00am meeting….but I digress.

Point is she’s amazing and her Wedding Party is amazing. Don’t believe me? Click the pic below and check it out.

A year ago she set out to find the best and brightest vendors in the region and create an event aimed to step up the game for our area wedding industry. Because our bride’s deserve quality and style and shouldn’t have to look elsewhere to get it! It was a hit.

This year’s Wedding Party will be held this Friday at Kirby’s fine dining and we’ve been asked to participate! Yep, she made us blush.

So, if you are a bride that has style, taste and an eye for quality – This is your show.

The Wedding Party blurs the lines of party and traditional wedding show immersing you in a stunningly decorated venue filled with beautiful tablescapes and examples of vendor work. Only the best photographers, florists, bakeries, designers, videographers and beauty experts will be there. Did I mention there will be cocktails and amazing LIVE music?

So, get your ticket, grab your guy and mingle with people who have a passion for amazing weddings.

Tis’ the Season Tea

A few months ago we were asked to be a part of the Evansville Museum Guild’s Tis the Season Tea, an event they hold every year to honor museum members and bring awareness to the Guild.

We assisted with the Tea’s branding, creating ads to reflect the tradition of this decades long event as well as overall decor and design and a table for charity alongside other amazing designers from the area.

Hosted by Nikki Davis and held at her gorgeous newly renovated home – Evansville’s Historic Boehne House, it was a beautiful afternoon of mingling and holiday celebration.

To become involved with the efforts of the Evansville Museum learn more about joining the Guild at http://evansvillemuseum.org/guild/.

Amanda & Kale

Just wrapped up a fun-filled wedding with the people I love best. My sister Amanda wed her man Kale in New Harmony, Indiana. The weather couldn’t have suited her taste more – foggy, haunting and romantic. They married in the rain under umbrellas. For two people who fell in love on their first date while fixing a flat tire in the rain – it couldn’t have been more perfect.

I am blessed to have them in my life.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the fun, quirky details in their personality-infused reception.

LoveITEvv! Holiday Launch Party

So excited to have the honor of designing and producing the LoveItEvv! Magazine launch party for their Fall 2015 Holiday edition. Such a gorgeous fall night to embrace the last of our warm weather. Held at a private residence in Newburgh it was a night celebrating the Leading Ladies of 2015, all of whom were featured in the issue.

Editor, Kana Brown wanted a casual affair with amazing music, great food and arelaxing atmopshere. Taking her cue, we set up mingling centers and magazine station to display the trophies and decor for guests to browse as they talked, ate and danced.

The decor reflected the design we created for our feature article on easy, fresh ways to decorate for the holidays. Our glowing trays of “ice” were a hit and Bonus! served as extra lighting as the sun went down.

Great evening with new friends.

Museum Inspired Artist Party

We’ve been featured on Hostess with the Mostess Blog!!!! What’s that!?! Only the biggest party blog in the entire country! Swooning. We could not be happier that they chose to feature us and all the creativity that went into a party we did for a very special birthday girl.

Arwyn is an artiste in the making, already developing a unique style of her own on Ipad paintings and online drawing communities. To celebrate her passion for painting, we went to work and put together a party inspired by museum galleries and The Master’s art.

It turned out to be a masterpiece – couldn’t help myself ; )

Read the full story at Hostess Blog. The printable collection for this party is available in our Etsy Shop.

Thanks to Piece of Cake for a truly amazing cake and Flickerfly Photography for capturing every detail!

Outdoor Vintage Wedding

Longing for an elegant outdoor wedding but don’t know how to pull it off? You can just by using accessories and furniture available in our Rental Collection.

Backyard weddings use to bring images of BBQ’s and picnic tables to mind (not that we don’t love a good BBQ around here!) These days, with Pinterest and blogs splashing images of gorgeous outdoor weddings all over the web, we can’t stop dreaming of “I Do’s” under a bright beautiful sky.

Get the look of vintage elegance right in your own backyard with our one-of-a-kind Rentals. Vintage mismatched china, towering lanterns filled with milk glass vases, bejeweled floral arrangements, an outdoor bar, cake table and blossom-adorned-arch come together to create this truly gorgeous look. There is nothing better than using nature as the backdrop of your wedding and no better way to add beauty to your photos.

We would like to thank the always amazing Piece of Cake bakery who designed and made all the lovely cupcakes and the gorgeous cake. Visit their store at 210 Main St. Evansville, IN to taste a bite of heaven!

And also a big thank you to my friend and our stunning model, Cheryl Farmer, who donned her wedding gown and brought to life our outdoor setting.

Check out our article in the May edition of Evansville’s local News4You magazine featuring this very shoot.

Botanical Butterfly Inspiration Shoot

Spring is upon us and it is GORGEOUS. With the Dogwood and Cherry Blossom Trees in full bloom (for a bittersweet short period of time), we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use some branches as the centerpiece for our springtime Botanical Butterfly shoot. Setting the table with a modern floral coverlet and some beauties from our Mismatched China collection, we accessorized our tablescape using apothecary jars filled with foliage and butterflies.

Then on a flight of whimsy, we decked out a lonely fallen branch with the leftover blossoms and butterflies, creating an enchanted hidden reading nook in the woods.

What can we say? – we just can’t help ourselves…

Disclaimer: No trees were killed in the making of this tablescape. All tree limbs were acquired from a tree being properly pruned. JoElle Elise Design tries to murder as few plants as possible in the pursuit of beauty. Unless, of course, it is an evil gum-ball tree, then all bets are off!
