Alli and Adam were married in a beautiful ceremony at Resurrection church this past fall and had a breathtaking outdoor reception in a large tent on their property. The day was perfect without a cloud in sight! Alli wanted a High-End Rustic look complete with barrels, wood elements, romantic hanging lanterns, and lush floral and greenery arrangements in blush, burgundy and blue. We even got to custom make a Donut Wall for their guests to enjoy! Take a look at all the details below!

A big thank you to One Fine Day Salon and Photography for sharing these beautiful photos with us!

Chris and Delaine’s Old World Wedding

49140969502_f8b14f7618_oDelaine and Chris were absolutely not looking for love when they met in a local bar back in 2016, but love certainly found them. Both being single parents, Chris of 3 kids and Delaine of 4, they knew they had to be smart and take things slow. They wanted to make sure they were serious about each other before introducing their children. It has now been over two years since they joined families, and they haven’t looked back.

The couple said their “I dos” in front of a lavish, floral moongate during a stunning, old-world ceremony in the Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse. They wanted their wedding to be an “epic” affair. Guests were treated to a cocktail hour game of “Name That Movie” as soundtrack music was played from some of their favorite films and TV series such as Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Gladiator. The guests with the most right answers got to choose from a selection wine as their prize.  There decor consisted of regal candelabras, aged metals, and beautiful fresh flowers. A decadent feast table of fruits and cheeses were laid out for guests to enjoy before the main dinner. Everyone danced and ate like kings surrounded by candlelight within the magnificent walls of the Old Courthouse.

Thank you to photographer, Jacklyn Shay for sharing her photos with us!

Garden Wedding Photoshoot at the Azalea Path for ENGAGED! Magazine

It has always been my dream to do a wedding or photoshoot at the Azalea Path up in Hazelton, Indiana during their short two-week bloom time. But with Mother Nature, you never know when she will have them bloom. So, for years I’ve waited for the stars to align and make this shoot a possibility and IT FINALLY HAPPENED! With only a week to prepare, we were able to get our vendor friends involved and create this stunning, spring garden party wedding inspiration shoot. The crisp colors, the delicate spring blooms, the garden furniture, the perfect tea-length dress and birdcage veil, the scrumptious pastries and a little DIY flower pressing by yours truly made this shoot scream spring. We were a small but mighty team of 5 adults and 3 kids (since it was such short notice for childcare!) who made the trek to the incomparable Azalea Path and Botanical Gardens.

Take a look at all the lovely details below and catch some behind the scenes pics of us and our cutie pie kids because as mommas, we will make it work, kids on set and all!

Aaron and Stephanie’s Romantic Summer Wedding

Stephanie and Aaron’s love story began in 2016. Although they had both been active in their running group for many years, the group has hundreds of members, so it took awhile for them to find one another. One day at a run, Aaron spotted Stephanie and began asking other group members about her. Finally, with the help of a mutual friend, the two were connected. After a few weeks of talking and discovering their mutual love of running, movie quotes, and traveling they went on their first date. Two years of memories and many marathons later, Aaron popped the question in Chicago right before a big race.

Their wedding took place on a beautiful summer day at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Evansville, IN. After the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a reception at the Old Post Office. The decor embodied a classic and elegant look, perfect for the venue, and the white and blue color scheme looked absolutely timeless. We loved creating these blue and white Hydrangea floral arrangements and bouquets with African Thistle and silver dollar Eucalyptus. Floating candles, stemware, pops of navy and gold accents brought all the details together creating a romantic atmosphere for their friends and family.

Thank you Johnna Nedreberg Photography for sharing with us these wonderful photos!

Tonya and Ryan – A Natural Wedding in French Lick, Indiana

A - Cover Feature Photo

We are excited at seeing this wedding in the current issue of ENGAGED! River Valley magazine as one of the Real Wedding features. Take a look at the issue below:

Tonya came to me wanting a natural, unpretentious wedding with fresh floral, simple white layered color palette and clean subtle signage and stationery.

When planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a place that was removed from distractions and allowed them to immerse themselves in the wedding experience and enjoy an intimate weekend with many family and friends who had come in from all over the country. Wilstem Ranch in French Lick, Indiana was the perfect choice with their rolling countryside, trails and cabins.

Having never done a wedding at Wilstem, myself and DayLily Events Wedding planner – Jamie Brewer (who also happens to be a dear friend) were excited to see what we could do with the unique, rustic, barn-like venue and the natural outdoor ceremony location.

We all settled on an understated look that reflected the couple’s taste of natural colors, elegant candlelight and fresh floral decor. Against the unstained wood and loft beams of the venue, it was a perfect compliment.

Never have I seen a couple so respectful and conscientious of each other’s desires. It’s wonderful to be able to work with people who share so much love.

Thank you Tonya and Ryan for letting me and my crew bring your wedding day visions to life. It was a beautiful and memorable wedding weekend.

Liberation Launch

Had the fun pleasure of putting together the LoveItEvv! Summer Liberation issue launch party, hosted at the oh-so-hipster office of BlackStrap Media located in the reviving Jacobsville neighborhood.

Kana Brown, editor of LoveItEvv! gave me two words: Hipster Rebel. While we definitely went hipster style, it developed into a Rebel Princess vibe complete with glitter tattoos and splashes of blood pink. Guests dug into a gourmet nacho bar and had cocktails courtesy of the always-delicious Sauced.

Kana’s magazines always develop into a collection of moving, empowering messages aimed at Evansville women and men with conscience and passion for our city and the part they play in it.

This edition’s central focus was on Liberation. As usual, the issue did not disappoint with articles from several different locals and their stories of personal liberation. Get your digital issue and read it for yourself at

To match that theme, we put together a warrior vibe complete with arrows, modern art and motivational messages from the powerful poem “Liberation: Finally” by Charnika Baltzell.

It was a great night with a collection of creative, passionate people.

Old Courthouse Gothic Inspired Wedding

Eliza and Mike came to me with visions of a fun, one-of-a-kind wedding. Both of them have a keen sense of unique style and loved the idea of infusing humor and unconventional quirks throughout their wedding design.

Using their venue, the amazing Old Courthouse of Evansville as inspiration, we went to work creating a gothic-haunted-mansion vibe for their personality infused wedding.

Our first step in bringing their style to life was the custom design of their invitations and signage. Using Eliza’s love for haunting art and bats and Mike’s passion for music composition, we created several designs for their one-of-a-kind stationery suite and wedding signage. The gothic style gave guests a hint of the decor to come and using Mike’s own music composition was a subtle nod to the mystery and music of the night to come.

Taking a cue from the custom graphic design, we used real vines and branches to create beautiful and slightly creepy decor – perfect for a haunted mansion feel. Moss, botanical plants, ravens and moths all played a part in bringing this look to life. Antique silver platters, candelabras and green crystal goblets all worked to elevate the decor style to fit with the opulence of the Old Courthouse’s magnificent architecture.

For the fresh floral bridal bouquet, Eliza had Zeidler’s put together this amazing arrangement full of texture and nontraditional floral elements.

It was a joy working with Mike and Eliza and having the opportunity to bring their amazing style to life.

Baring my journey

A couple months ago I was asked by Kana Brown, editor of LoveItEvv! Magazine to write an article centered on the issue’s theme of Rebirth. Although my own personal rebirth as a business owner has been a gradual one, it was one that crystallized my goals and revealed to me who I am and what I want. By far, the most personal thing I have ever done publicly. Here is the gorgeous magazine cover. Download your own digital copy at

As a bonus, Kana asked if I would design and produce her 2 year LoveIt! magazine anniversary party to celebrate the new edition. Taking the theme of Rebirth, we went to work creating a rustic-modern mix and incorporating symbols of growth such as lush moss and greenery and lightbulbs to symbolize creativity and the spark that leads you to new endeavors. We custom designed signage to support the event brand and reinforce the magazine’s message of renewal.

And of course no party would be complete without a photo-op backdrop!

Having the party at the newly opened Farmer and Frenchman in Henderson Kentucky was amazing. The beauty and filtered lighting of the barn elevated the entire event! Katy and her husband have such ambitions for their venue/winery/bedandbreakfast – I cannot wait to see it all complete. It was a wonderful evening with fabulous people.
